General Note regarding installations in MS Vista or Window 7
All current versions of our software are compatible with the MS Vista operating system.
MS Vista requires that software is installed using the Install as Administrator option to write registry settings
for your installation licensing.
You can access the Install as Administrator option by right-clicking on the Setup file, and choosing the option
from the menu provided. If this option is not available, then you do not have Administrative rights on the computer and
cannot perform a proper installation. Additionally, for our SPC software, CQx Study Guides, and the IQF Study Guide and Exam:
- SPC software & CQx Study Guides: You must have Write access to the _qinfo0x.sys file in the installation folder, as well as any data
storage files that may be stored locally or on the network.
- SPC software, CQx Study Guides, IQF Study Guide & Exam:You should always run the software as an Administrator. Select the software's executable file, then select
Properties from the right mouse menu. In the Compatibility tab, turn on the Run As Administrator
setting. Failure to use this setting each time may prevent the Vista user from accessing and/or storing data.
