Measurements can be input via the RS-232 Serial Port from a variety of gages and multiplexers. The supported gages and their manufacturer are listed below:

• Generic / Universal: This option allows for entering of data through the RS-232 serial port by many measurement instruments not listed below. The data stream should have data values separated by carriage returns. Options may be set to:
  • Ignore the First n Characters.
  • Ignore the Last n Characters.
  • Send specified characters to the gage to trigger a reading, with or without a Carriage Return and/or Line Feed command.
  • Ignore gage readings above and/or below specified values.
  • Identify the Slot Location for the readings taken from a multiplexer.

  • Starrett 761: The Starrett 761 Multiplexor will interface with any gage with RS-232 output.
  • Starrett 761-2P: The two port version of the popular 761, it will also interface with any gage with RS-232 output.
  • Starrett 741: The Starrett 741 Multiplexor will interface with any gage with RS-232 output.
