Specifying Gage Search Criteria

The Gage Search dialog box, available from the Gage Search button in the toolbar, allows you to specify which gage, or gages, you would like displayed in the Gage Search Results window. You may enter criteria into one or more fields. When criteria are entered into more than one field, the search will look for gage records matching BOTH criteria (sometimes referred to as the "and" condition). When no criteria are specified, the search will display all the gages in the database. Each time you open the Gage Search dialog the conditions that were used to generate the Gage Search Results list are shown.

The gage search below will find all gages whose department name begins with Form Grind that are due for calibration in the next 30 days. The Default checkbox in the lower left of the dialog box, when checked, defines the stated search conditions as the conditions which will be used to populate the Gage Search Results window each time the application is opened. In this manner you can, for example, always open the application so that the gages due (or past due) for calibration are immediately displayed.
