Performing Calibrations

You may perform Calibrations for a selected gage after defining its Calibration Procedure. Select the Perform Cal button from the Gage Search Results window or the Calibration / R&R Study List dialog box to open the Perform Calibration Study dialog box.

Note the Temperature, Humidity and Dept./Vendor fields. These are three of six user-defined fields that may be added to Calibration studies.

The Ref. Std(s). text box allows traceability to user-defined Reference Standards. If a Reference Standard is found to be out of calibration, use the Gage Search dialog box to find all calibrations performed using that standard since its last calibration.

The Study Cost and Hours fields are included in all Calibration and R&R Studies. Reports provide these values itemized for each study, as well as summarized for all studies included in the report.

When the calibration has been completed, and you exit this dialog box, you will be prompted to remove the gage from service if the gage did not pass the calibration.
