Lean Six Sigma Training: IQF Lean Six Sigma Certification Exam




The IQF Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification exam is a rigorous, computer-based test of your ability to use modern methods to improve business operations. The exam consists of 2 modules:
  1. Fundamentals – short questions & problems designed to test the basic understanding of Lean Six Sigma tools & concepts.
  2. Applications – detailed problems designed to test Lean Six Sigma problem solving ability.
Each module must be completed in 4 hours. The exam is open book, and any computer software may be used.

After successful completion of the exam, a Certification without Projects is issued. Documentation for two successful projects may then be submitted for consideration towards full certification. Project documentation demonstrates the application of DMAIC in achieving organizational benefits exceeding $100,000 per project, and includes peer and sponsor evaluations.

Candidates demonstrating exceptional skills in the exam (scores exceeding 75% in both modules) are eligible for certification as a Master Black Belt. Additional requirements for the Master Black Belt status include documentation of two years of teaching and mentoring including 8 mentored projects and 80 hours of teaching.
