George Runger, Ph.D. is a faculty member in the Industrial Engineering department at Arizona State University. He has twenty years' experience in consulting and training in scientific and engineering applications of statistical methods. He has co-authored research papers on statistical process control and design of experiments in several quality journals and is often an invited speaker at national conferences on this topic. His work has earned an Ellis Ott Foundation award and a Brumbaugh award from the American Society for Quality, and currently his work is funded by the National Science Foundation. George is co-author of Applied Statistics and Probability for Engineers (John Wiley & Sons, 1994) and Applied Statistics (John Wiley & Sons, 1997). Both are widely used as course texts for engineering students and he has presented many training courses based on this material to corporate clients. In addition to academic and consulting work, he was a Senior Engineer at IBM. He holds degrees in Industrial Engineering and Statistics. George may be reached via e-mail at runger@asu.edu |
