Data Sources

A variety of data sources may be used for your analyses, including:

·      data files created by this application, saved with the .qdb extension (or file type),

·      MS-Excel files

·      ODBC-compliant databases or spreadsheet applications, such as MS-Access, Foxpro, SQL databases, etc.,

·      ASCII formatted files, such as those saved from spreadsheet applications or proprietary equipment or applications,

·      dynamic DDE links from other software applications, such as spreadsheets,

·      real time connection with measurement equipment, such as gages,

·      downloads from data collectors.

Data from all these data sources will be viewed from the Data Editor window, which looks and operates similar to a spreadsheet. Once the data from the source is in the Data Editor, it can be saved in the .qdb file format so all the options built into the .qdb format are available.
