Selecting the Subgroups to be Analyzed

There are numerous ways to specify which subgroups should be included in the analysis, as shown in the following list:

  • Use all the subgroups by simply leaving the Range and Query text boxes blank in the Chart Options dialog box.

  • Use a range (continuous or discontinuous) of subgroups, based on subgroup number .

  • Use all subgroups matching a set of criteria .

  • By right mouse button selection of a point in the Chart window , you can drop a selected subgroup from the analysis.

  • Use Auto Drop (available in the Analysis Options dialog box ) to drop out of control points from the calculations, yet show them on the charts.
