Saving Files
To save a file, choose one of the following options from the File menu or Toolbar:
- Save (ALT, F, S): This option will save the current file to the default
directory. The default directory is specified in the Data text box in the Directories dialog box, which is available by selecting Preferences on the Options menu. If you are saving a new data or chart file for the first time, the Save As dialog box (see below) will open instead so that you can assign a name to the
file before it is saved.
- Save As: (ALT, F, A): This option will open the Save As dialog box.
Note: Long filenames available in Windows95 and Windows NT are not supported
in the 16 bit version of this application, but are supported in the 32 bit
versions of this application, subject to a maximum display width of approximately 40
characters.
