| Contents | Index Gage Cursor A Gage Cursor is a window that overlays the Data Editor, with a display for viewing the reading sent via the gage connection, and buttons for controlling its operation. The Gage Cursor is created and edited from the Gage Cursor dialog box. Note: Any number of cursors may be open at any one time, in any number of data sets, so long as there is no hardware conflict, such as multiple gages trying to access the same COM port. If a cursor is opened whose settings conflict with an active cursor, an error message will close the first cursor upon request. The following button functions are available on the Gage Cursor, as well as from the Cursors option in the Data menu (ALT, D, C). Read: Read the current gage reading into the cursor's cell and move the cursor to the next cell. Options: Displays the Gage Cursor dialog box. Reset: Only active if you are reading min, max, or TIR values. Discards the current values and starts tracking from the current point in time. Stop: Closes the connection to the gage and stops taking readings. Start: Reopens the connection to the gage. Up, Down: Moves the cursor up or down one row Left, Right: Moves the cursor to the previous or next cell. For a single column cursor, this will move down to the next row. For a multiple column cursor the cursor will move to the next column, or if it is on the last of the chosen columns, down to the next row at the first chosen column). Hide: Removes the gage cursor from the Data Editor window. To show the cursor, select the Cursors option from the Data menu, then choose the Show option from the menu provided for each active cursor. |
