Default Analysis Options and Chart Format Options
Default Chart Format Options and Analysis Options are set by selecting the
Default Options... button in the Preferences dialog box, available through the
Options menu.
Default options are set separately for Variables and Attributes files. Changes
saved in the default Analysis Options or default Chart Format Options will be
applied:
- to new files
- to new columns in existing data files
- when you specifically invoke the Set to Default option to a given column or chart.
The dialog boxes which will appear will be identical to the analysis options
dialog boxes and chart format options boxes described above, but some of the
fields will not be accessible.
The default analysis options and chart format options are stored in a file
called _defhead.tbl in the directory specified in the Preferences dialog box,
making it possible for many individuals to personalize their own default chart
format options. To change the location of the default options file, select
Preferences from the Options menu, then select the Directories button, and enter the
appropriate directory path into the Default Analysis Options text box.
