| Contents | Index DDE Links dialog box All current DDE links can be viewed, opened, closed and deleted in the DDE Links dialog box, which is available by selecting Links from the File menu (ALT, F, L). The Links list box shows all the links that exist for the data set(s) that you currently have open. A link can be active or open, meaning that the source and receiving applications are communicating in the normal way described above, or it can be inactive or closed, meaning that a link exists to a data set but the source for that application is not available. When you click on a link in the list box, either the Open button or the Close and Delete buttons will be available. (The other buttons will be "grayed" to indicate that they are unavailable.) Open: Reactivates an inactive link. If the source application is not running, an attempt will be made to start it. Close: Inactivates an active link. This does not destroy the link; it merely shuts it down temporarily. Delete: Permanently removes a link. OK: Closes the dialog box. |
