Access Control dialog box
You may choose the following types of access control via the Access Control
dialog box:
- None Users are not required to enter either initials or password when they
access the system.
- Initials Only Users must enter their initials only when they access the system. The
initials are remembered and used to identify users in the audit trail (see below) but
are not compared to the list of installed users. Since there is no prevention
of unauthorized users, users may not enter access control or audit trail
functions, however, users may enter their password in this configuration, which would
allow them to enter the access control or audit trail functions if their
security level allowed it.
- Initials and Password Users are required to enter both the initials and the password that were set
up for them when they were added to the system as a user.
NOTE: Data files that are created by a supervisor or administrator with
password access can be edited by operators, but only using the data entry method
selected by the creator. The option to toggle between Form data entry and
Spreadsheet will not be available.
From this dialog box, you can also turn Audit trails on or add/delete to the list of authorized usersI .
