From the Work Set branch, select the Acme Production work set then the Edit Work Set option from the right mouse menu. Cclick on the Add button to create a new Formula Characteristic in the Work Set. You can also create Work Set Characteristics that are based on calculations using two or more of the other Characteristics in the Work Set. For example, your data collection may measure inner diameter and outer diameter of a pipe, and your customer specification (and Capability Analysis) is concerned with wall thickness.
From the Work Set branch, select the Acme Production work set then the Edit Work Set option from the right mouse menu. Cclick on the Add button to create a new Formula Characteristic in the Work Set.
Enter Fill Weight as the Formula Name (on the General tab), and select the Chart Type (on the Properties tab) as Individual-X / MR Chart.
Click on the Formula tab and type: “C134-C133” (without the quotes, to the right of the equals sign). Click on the OK button to save the formula.
Click on the General tab, and de-select (uncheck) the visible properties for the Turbo Booster-Empty Weight and Turbo Booster-Full Weight. Click on the OK button to return to the Explorer view. Note the new Formula Characteristic, preceded in the Work Set Characteristic list by the large F.
