Viewing Control Charts in the Explorer View

You can easily view data or control charts associated with a given Characteristic.

Select the Processing Time characteristics from the Order Processing process, then select the New Chart icon in the Toolbar.

Hint: You could also use the Show Chart option from the right mouse or Characteristic menu. We’ll see later how to set a default option in Tools / Preferences to open charts by double-clicking on the Characteristic label.

Select the chart in the Explorer view’s right pane, then review its right mouse menu options. Turn off (remove the checkmark, if it exists) the Show Data Form and the Show Statistics options to maximize the viewing space of the chart. You can also select and drag the divider bar between the control chart and the histogram to increase or decrease the relative widths of each (the same can be done for the divider between the left and right panes in the application window).

Select the down arrow to the right of the Open Document toolbar icon, and select the Characteristic Note option. Click the Show Process Note button, and view the Note and Image tabs edited in the last slide.
