Reports dialog box

The Reports dialog box is used to create, open or save reports. It is opened:

·      by selecting either the Reports option in the Tools menu or the Print Reports toolbar icon, or

·      by selecting the Reports branch, then the Add Report option from the right mouse menu or Reports menu; or by selecting a specific Report in the Report branch, then the Edit Report option from the right mouse menu or Reports menu.

The following information is available on the General tab.

 

Report Name: Enter a name (up to 60 characters) used to identify the report.

Process - Characteristic: Choose one of the active Processes - Characteristics from the drop down list.

Define Query: Select this button to open the Define Query dialog box to create a report on a specific set of data. The query defined for the Process Characteristic is applied by default.

Print Orientation: Select either a Portrait view to orient the top edge along the horizontal dimension of the printed page, or Landscape view to orient the top edge along the vertical dimension of the printed page.

Print: image\print.gif Select this button to print a report. You may select the printer to use, the number of copies, and which tabs will be printed. (Hint: Print Preview is a convenient way to view the contents of each tab).

Print Preview: image\printpreview.gif Select this button to display a report before it gets sent to the printer. The Print Preview window contains buttons (and drop down list boxes) for zooming (enlarge and reduce) and scrolling (viewing consecutive tabs). The Back and Forward buttons allow you to view previously viewed tabs, as you might in a web browser. Selecting the Print button to select the printer to use, the number of copies, which tabs will be printed, and to print the Report.
