To follow along in this tutorial, open the software application by selecting the Sample Database shortcut that was added to your MS Windows Start menu. It may also be available on your desktop, if you selected this option during install.The sample database is already populated with the data we’ll use in this Tutorial, so you can get a feel for how the application is structured. Your user database (shpfloor.mdb), provided for entering data from your processes, is essentially blank until you start entering information into it.

If you are already in the application, then select the SPC Database option from the File / Open menu. Navigate to the correct folder (the default folder is C:\Program Files\spcexplorer), then select the Sample.mdb file.
