The following menu options are generally available in the Web Interface, with the following provisions:
1. When you first open the application, the menu provides links to log in to the database, and to this user Help system.
2. Specific options may be unavailable if the user does not have access rights to perform that function. See User Properties.
3. Certain pages require a selection from a list, which prohibit selection from the menu. You must first select an item from the list box and Submit, or Cancel from the page before the complete menu is available.
Home: provides a link to the starting point, which contains product version and the log on identification of the current user. The following menu options are available from the Home menu:
Log In: Select this option to log in to the application as a different user.
Options: Select this option to edit the following application options, affecting only the local computer:
Menu Orientation: Select Horizontal to display the Menu across the top of the page. Select Vertical to display the Menu along the left margin.
Chart Size: Enter a Chart Width (default = 800) and Chart Height (default = 600) for the analysis charts.
User: The User menu, when selected, provides the following options:
Add User: Select this option to define a new user and their User Properties
Edit User: Select this option to change the options associated with a particular user and their User Properties
Note: Users may not be removed from the database using this application.
Add Privilege: Select this option to define a new user Privilege Levels
Edit Privilege: Select this option to change the options associated with a particular user Privilege Levels
Delete Privilege: Select this option to remove a particular Privilege Level from the database. A dialog box will be opened to Select the Privilege Level. After the Privilege Level is selected, the Delete Privilege Level button will permanently remove the selected Privilege Level from the database, and the Cancel button will return the user to the Main Menu.
Work Set: The Work Set menu, when selected, provides the following options. Work Sets are collections of Characteristic analyses that may be viewed or edited.
Open Work Set: Select this option to open an existing Work Set in a chart analysis page, to add data, or to edit data.
Add Work Set: Select this option to define a new user and their Work Set Properties
Edit Work Set: Select this option to change the options associated with a particular user and their Work Set Properties
Delete Work Set: Select this option to remove a particular Work Set from the database. A dialog box will be opened to Select the Work Set. After the Work Set is selected, the Delete Work Set button will permanently remove the selected Work Set from the database, and the Cancel button will return the user to the Main Menu.
Process: The Process menu, when selected, provides the following options:
Add Process: Select this option to define a new user and their Process Properties
Edit Process: Select this option to change the options associated with a particular user and Process Properties
Delete Process: Select this option to remove a particular Process from the database. A dialog box will be opened to Select the Process. After the Process is selected, the Delete Process button will permanently remove the selected Process from the database, and the Cancel button will return the user to the Main Menu.
Characteristic: The Characteristic menu, when selected, provides the following options:
Open Characteristic: Select this option to open an existing Characteristic. Data may not be added or edited in this view. Use the Open Work Set option (see above) to add or edit data to a Characteristic.
Add Characteristic: Select this option to define a new Characteristic and their Characteristic Properties
Edit Characteristic: Select this option to change the options associated with a particular Characteristic and Characteristic Properties
Delete Characteristic: Select this option to remove a particular Characteristic from the database. A dialog box will be opened to Select the Characteristic. After the Characteristic is selected, the Delete Characteristic button will permanently remove the selected Characteristic from the database, and the Cancel button will return the user to the Main Menu.
