Logging On

Users are logged into the database so that data entry and other actions are traceable to them. You'll see even more ISO / QS 9000 / FDA CFR traceability features as we go through this demonstration.

The User Name (or initials, or any other identification, such as Employee ID number) is selected from the alphanumeric list, which is pre-selected with the last user who logged in from this computer workstation. Optional passwords ensure logon integrity. You can even use barcode readers to enter this information! We’ll see later how these user names are initially added to the database.
