Barcode Readers that emulate keyboards may be used in a number of places to simplify operations. Generally, these may be used anywhere a keyboard may be used, such as data entry.
You can also use these barcode readers in the Log On dialog box and the Open Work Set dialog box (if the real-time option has been purchased). Select the appropriate Use Textbox instead of List box... option in the Preferences dialog box General page to allow keyboard entry rather than the selection list that is normally provided.
