Auto Advance Example

The Work Set's Auto Advance feature allows the next tab (characteristic) in the chart window to be automatically visited after a user-specified time delay. The timing begins once the OK button has been hit, indicating that the data has been entered into the database.

Auto Advance may be defined so that the next Work Set characteristic is visited after all the data values for the characteristics are entered, or after each value has been entered. The Work Sets you will use for your processes are pre-defined to operate one way or the other, so talk to your Process Supervisor (or whomever set up the Work Sets) to change the settings.

If needed, the Auto Advance feature may be conveniently turned off and on by selecting the Auto Advance option in the Work Set menu.

image\mouse.gif Select the Work Set menu and notice that the Auto Advance option is now checked. If you remove the check (by selecting it), then the Auto Advance feature will be disabled.
