Auto Advance

The Auto Advance tab is used to set an optional time delay for moving to the next characteristic tab during data entry in the Work Set view.

Auto Advance offers a number of options that can be individually defined for each Work Set. In some cases, you may want to collect and record data for complete subgroups before moving to the next Characteristic; in other cases, you’ll want to advance to the next Characteristic after a single observation has been recorded for the subgroup. You can also choose to open a new Work Set once data has been recorded for each Characteristic in the Work Set.

When a subgroup is out of control or violates an applied Run Test rule, triggering an Alert condition for that Characteristic, the Auto Advance feature is temporarily stalled until the Data Entry user enters the required information. Auto Advance is restarted once the necessary information has been correctly entered.
