Enter the following information used for charts for Attributes data when defining Characteristics.
Sample Size: Select one of the following choices from the list box:
Fixed: Used if the number of samples in each plotted group is constant. In this case, enter the constant sample size in the adjacent textbox labeled Fixed Sample Size.
Variable: In this case, data entry requires entering the sample size for each group.
In either case, the sample size is stored for each data record (row). Therefore, you can analyze the data at a fixed sample size if it were added to the database using variable sample sizes. You cannot, however, analyze data at a variable size when it has been entered with a fixed sample size unless you first edit the data.
