The Gages tab allows pre-selection of any of the gages previously added to the database from the Explorer view’s Gages branch.
Select the Gages tab in the Define Work Set dialog box. Select a Work Set Characteristic from the list box at top, then select a gage from the list box below (by default, the selected item is No Gage). Notice the list box at top is updated with the gage assignment, as is the Process Characteristic listed on the General tab.
Be sure to remove the gage (using the No Gage option on the Gage tab) before closing the dialog box if you do not plan to enter data using the selected electronic gage.
If a gage cannot be used during real-time data entry, then users with the appropriate privilege may select another gage from the list of available gages using the Gage icon 
from the Work Set view.
