Statistics Table

The statistics table will be displayed to the left of the control chart, beneath the histogram:

UCL: (Not shown for Run Charts) Upper Control Limit, either as calculated or as entered (if Fixed UCL is defined above)

LCL: (Not shown for Run Charts) Lower Control Limit, either as calculated or as entered (if Fixed LCL is defined above)

U Chart

Np Chart

C Chart

PCL: Process Center Line, either as calculated from the data or from the midpoint of the entered control limits (if Fixed UCL, LCL entered)

Note: PCL is the Grand Average when X-Bar charts or Individual-X charts with Normal Curve Fit are shown, and is the Median of the fitted curve when Run Charts or Individual-X charts with non-normal curve fits are shown.

Average: the overall average of the subgroups, including points removed by the Auto Drop feature.

Process Sigma: (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the process standard deviation, calculated using the specified control chart.

Cpk: (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the process capability index Cpk

Cp : (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the process capability index Cp

Ppk : (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the process performance index Ppk

Pp: (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the process performance index Pp

K-S Test : (Not shown for Run or Attribute Charts) the result of the K-S (Kolmogorov-Smirnov) goodness of fit test. Values will be between 0 and 1; values closer to 1 represent a better fit, while those close to zero represent a very poor fit.

Data Table

The data table is displayed beneath the control chart, histogram and statistics table. Each row is a unique subgroup.

Note: The row is colored red if the subgroup is out of control.

Edit: (Administrator and Edit Data User Access in Open Work Set view only) provides a link to edit the selected subgroup.

Subgroup Number (#): The subgroup number. Note that this is relative to the current analysis only.

Date / Time: The date and time associated with the subgroup.

Data Values: The raw data observations, as entered.

Average: The average of the observations in the subgroup.

Range/Sigma: (Individual-X and X-Bar charts only) The within-subgroup range (X-Bar / Range chart), sigma (X-Bar / Sigma chart), or the moving range between subgroups (Individual-X / Moving Range chart).

Run Tests failed: (Individual-X, X-Bar and Run charts only) The Western Electric / Nelson Run Test rule that the subgroup violates (if any).

Trace fields: The Traceability field(s) associated with the subgroup (if any).
