Step Three - Options

Use the default settings, or specify your own formatting and analysis options. Enter a chart title, sub-title, and their fonts (type, size, and color). Choose axis scaling and labeling options, as well as colors for background and display.

Other tabs in this dialog box allow you to define:

Ø    Control Limits.

Ø    Run Test rules.

Ø    Specification limits for Capability Analysis.

Ø    Curve fit and bounds for Non-normal data analysis.

Ø    Auto-drop out of control subgroups.

Once the options are specified for a given chart, they are saved as your default settings for future charts. When an Excel file is saved, each chart and its specific options are saved with the file, so there is no re-entry of information required. Of course, each chart can be edited to change its properties at any time.
