Study Guide
ExamThe IQF Six Sigma Exam is CD-based, which offers two advantages: the exam may be taken at your leisure (rather than at pre-determined times and locations), and it encourages the use of analytical software in developing your response. In this way, the testing is a bit more realistic than multiple choice exams permitting only the use of textbooks and calculators. Participants, and their Sponsoring Organizations, generally appreciate the added challenge of the real-world problem solving exercises. The exam may also be site-licensed by companies for their continued use. See Common Questions. Exam FormatThe exam consists of 2 sections; a Fundamentals section and an Applications section. The examinee is given 4 hours to complete each section of the exam. The Fundamentals section is design to test the examinee's understanding of basic statistical methods. The Fundamentals section consists of the following types of questions. About the IQFThe IQF is an all-volunteer organization of quality practitioners and subject matter experts that saw the need for standardization in the Six Sigma field. They have administered several hundred exams thus far, 80- 90% employer monitored and endorsed. Employers using the exam include Boeing, Visteon, and others. More information about the IQF and its certification process is available at www.iqfnet.org. |
