Fibre Containers
is a small privately owned company that manufactures custom corrugated
and folding containers for a wide array of customers. They have been in
business for 40 years with 230-250 employees. Their competition includes
several large public conglomerates. They achieved their first ISO certification
in March of 1999 and are looking forward to being recertified soon. They
make all their containers to customer specifications, as some of them,
namely medical packagers, electronic and automotive require adherence
to FDA and GMP standards
Tina Neighbours
has been the Quality Assurance Manager for the last 10 of her 20 years
with the company and has basically built the QA Department from the ground
up. Tina created her own program to assist her in this, but it was very
labor and time intensive to run her monthly and quarterly reports. She
started looking for a better way, an off-the-shelf product that would
meet all her needs. She put together a wish list of what the perfect software
would be and with the help of "Quality Progress" magazine's
annual review, started comparing the two. She found 5 software packages
that met her list and that Quality America's QPulse4 met every item on
her list. She called to interview us and found the attitude of our customer
service to her liking and the cost was better than most.
She also
attended training at our Tucson location and enjoyed herself very much,
finding both the software easy to understand and use, She found that the
flexibility of QPulse allowed her to save time in compiling data.
It took
her about 1 month to become familiar with the program, still most of that
time was spent doing solo data entry from the program she previously used
and also getting used to how all the modules interface. Customizing reports
and the system itself. Once this was done she "hit the floor running"
in about a week and was able to retire her old system within a month.

As this
is a small operation, only 2 others use the system and they were both
up and running within a matter of weeks. She relies heavily on the Customer,
Corrective/Preventative Actions and Audit modules. And as an added benefit,
the registrar's auditors find the reports generated by the Audit and Corrective/Preventative
Actions modules extremely comprehensive, allowing for thorough and complete
audit trails.
She uses
the QPulse charts and reports during the monthly Management Review meetings
for Trend Analysis. She also posts these charts for employees to see and
if often stopped by them to comment on how much they enjoy the feedback
on customer satisfaction.
She is a
QPulse advocate and has become one of our outside referral customers going
the extra mile by allowing potential users to come and view her system.
Tina says,
